My question is - how difficult is this to do Is it simply a matter of unscrewing the existing trim pieces and Its not that noticeable to others but being picky Id like to replace the trim with new trim. The previous owner was a bit rough with the car and scratched the silver trim of the steering wheel in a few spots. Hi All I have a 2006 Z4 3.0si with an automatic transmission and paddle shifters. To each theuir own.īMW Z3 E36 Z4 2006 - Replacing Steering Wheel Silver Trim If an airbag is silly to you than that says it all.

At the same time I do not think the head airbag will do much if you get t-boned by an 18-wheeler or a full size SUV. It actually makes me wonder if a Cayman is not a better option in this respect as it comes with front side thorax and side head bags. BMW Z3 E36 Lack of side head protection in Z4ĭoes anyone find it a little bit lame there is no side head protection in these cars Its somewhat understandable in the roadster but I was shocked to learn that the Z4 Coupe lacks it as well.
